Amit Jain has been appointed as managing director of AkzoNobel’s decorative paints business in India and Sri Lanka that is present in the region through its subsidiary, ICI India Ltd, which manufactures and supplies the Dulux brand.
He succeeds Rajiv Jain, who will be retiring as managing director following 35 years of service . During his time with the company, Rajiv Jain was instrumental in establishing the Dulux brand in the market.
Amit Jain will be joining AkzoNobel from MTV Asia, where he was in charge of business for India, China and South East Asia as executive vice-pesident and managing director.
