Direct Selling FMCG Company, Amway India has posted a growth of 17 per cent in Kerala during the first seven months of the fiscal year 2009 over the same period of 2008, a top official of the company said.
"This is a positive indicator of future prospects of Amway business in Kerala," Pankaj Vassal, vice president (South), Amway India, told reporters here today.
"Kerala is one of the key markets for us and one among the top five markets," he said.
To further drive growth,the company would make investments for infrastructure expansion to open Amway Touch Points in Kottayam and Palakkad, Vassal added.
He also launched the Festive catalogue range of products comprising both Amway core line products and co-branded products consisting of products range from Tea to bedsheets to sandwich toaster.
In a message, William S Pinckney, Managing Director and CEO, Amway India said: "Having grown 40 per cent in recession-hit 2008, from Rs 800 crore in 2007 to Rs 1,128 crore in 2008, we are confident of crossing Rs 2,500 crore by 2012".
