The Anchor Health and Beauty Care Private Limited (AHBCPL), a subsidiary of Anchor Group, expects Rs 25 crore business in Orissa in the current financial year.

The Mumbai based company with two business verticals, oral care (toothpaste) and personal (soap) divisions, has almost reached the target with two weeks to go for the end of the fiscal, said KC Subudhi, Branch Manger (Orissa) of the company. Its products include white toothpaste, gels, toothbrushes, tooth powder and soaps.

The business in personal division of the company was more than the oral care division in the state despite strong competition from rival groups, Subudhi said.

The sale in the personal care division is mostly driven by Dyna soap, a popular brand among the people in Orissa, he explained. The soap with 76 percent Total Fatty Matters (TFM) was judged as a Grade- 1 soap, he claimed.

The company intends to promote its products with expansion of dealer network and more advertisement. In Orissa alone, there are 200 dealers and this number will go up soon.
