Congress legislators in Andhra Pradesh, who have submitted their resignations over the Telangana issue, would meet Governor N D Tiwari tomorrow to seek his intervention in the matter.
"We will urge him to protect the unity of Andhra Pradesh," Government Whip D Sailajanath told PTI here today.
"Development would be possible only in a united state. All the new states that have been created in recent times are beset with problems. Unified state is in the interest of all," he said.
He said the legislators are firm on their resignations and would only reconsider the stance if the Centre comes up with an amicable solution to the issue.
"We are for a solution. We will reconsider our resignations if a solution comes about," Sailajanath said.
To a question, he said the Assembly session has come to a halt as "it is the mood of all parties".
