Anns to tinker with kitchen products

The Anns Group of Companies (AGC), manufacturers of Mr Cook brand of thermal rice cookers, has announced its foray into a complete range of kitchen products.

Martin David, managing director of the group, said at a press conference here today that the company would launch 45 products, including thermal rice cookers, microwave ovens and solar water heaters, under the 'Mr Cook Kitchen Planet' brand name.

He said that the company had targeted a total sale of Rs 25-30 crore during next one year, an increase of 150 -200 per cent from the current turnover.

The Anns Group will open 30 exclusive outlets on a franchise basis in Kerala during the next 12 months. The first outlet was opened at North Parur, near Kochi today.

Martin said that the company was also targeting overseas market and had already got orders from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and there were active enquiries from South Africa.

The company will soon start marketing in Tamil Nadu and extend the network to all the states in south India.

Martin added that there would be a five-year warranty for the entire range of products and an efficient service wing would be engaged to address the customer complaints quickly.

Anns has started five factories for producing various utensils and adopted foreign technology for manufacturing the product range.

The product range includes blender, grinder, juicer, fans, induction cooker, water heater, iron box, gas stove, oven toast grill and exhaust fans. The complete range of products is being marketed at a price tag of Rs 2 lakh.
