Ansal API to invest Rs 3,600 crore in IT SEZs and parks

Ansal Properties and Infrastructure Ltd (Ansal API) will invest Rs 3,600 crore in Information technology (IT) Special Economic Zones (SEZs) and IT parks in the country.

Under the scheme, the company will develop 6 IT SEZs in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Maharashtra.

Currently the company is allowed to construct IT SEZs in Noida, Gurgaon and Mumbai where it has already started its work on some projects which are expected to be completed in next five to seven years, according to a statement issued by the company.

The total area to be developed under the scheme is around 270 acres. The proposed SEZs will consist of an IT zone, a commercial zone, a residential zone and a recreational area.

 

The scheme will enable the company to expand in West India with the launch of IT SEZ at Khapoli, Maharashtra.
