Ansal Properties Q3 net loss at Rs 16 cr

Real estate developer Ansal Properties & Infrastructure said its consolidated net loss in December quarter of the current fiscal stood at Rs 15.73 crore, while it had a net profit of Rs 52.15 crore in the corresponding period a year ago.

Consolidated total income of the company dipped to Rs 211.01 crore for the December quarter of the current fiscal from 267.23 crore in the year ago period.

On a standalone basis, the company reported a 94.21 per cent dip in its net profit at Rs 2.83 crore for the December quarter. It had a net profit of Rs 48.91 crore in the third quarter of the 2008 fiscal.

 

The standalone total income stood at Rs 208.84 crore in December quarter, while it was at Rs 228.53 crore in the year-ago period.

For the nine-month period ended December, 2008, Ansal Properties and Infrastructure reported a 77.34 per cent drop in its net profit at Rs 29.34 crore. It had a net profit of Rs 143.17 crore in the year-ago period.

The consolidated total income during the April-December period stood at Rs 571.7 crore, while it was at Rs 737.1 crore in the same period last year.

On Friday, shares of Ansal Properties & Infrastructure closed at Rs 27.10, up 14.59 per cent on the BSE.
