The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) and the state tourism commission have called for private-public participation for development of various projects to attract more international tourists. The state will mainly focus on three areas — rural, film and eco tourism.

“We are planning a tiger reserve in Adilabad district and another seven-acre reserve in Dindi(Kakinada district) to promote eco-tourism,” APTDC vice chairman and managing director Sandeep Kumar Sultania said at an interactive meeting on ‘Tourism Projects in AP and its related Issues,’ organised by the Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry here. It will also launch ‘Hop-on and Hop-off’ service in a month under which, APTDC will provide 6-7 buses to 13 tourist spots in Hyderabad.

The corporation recently tied up with Jet Airways to provide packaged tours for Tirupati temple visitors from Hyderabad at Rs 9,250. This includes accommodation, food and travel expenses. “Now, we are going to tie up with SpiceJet to make this service available throughout the country,” he said.
