The Andhra Pradesh tourism department and the Indian Trust for Rural Heritage and Development (ITRHD) would soon sign a MoU to jointly work out rural tourism and its implementation in the state, said Chandana Khan, special chief secretary (tourism).
In this regard, the state tourism department has identified several locations in Krishna district, tribal belts of Srikakulam and Adilabad for implementing pilot projects in rural tourism, she said at the inaugural session of the three-day national workshop on ‘Rural tourism models in India - Experiences and possibilities’ in Hyderabad.
