Apar net up 17% to Rs 11.46 cr |
Apar Industries has posted 17.43 per cent dip in net profit before exceptional items at Rs 11.46 crore, compared with a net profit of Rs 13.88 crore during the same quarter of previous financial year. |
The drop in net profit was due to a temporary weakness of rupee, which might not recur in the next quarter, the company said in a release. Consequently, the EPS stood at Rs 4.19 as against Rs 5.46 last year. |
The specialty oil producer has posted 38 per cent growth in revenues, with net sales of Rs 277.76 crore during the quarter under review, as against Rs 200.22 crore posted during the same period of previous fiscal. |
Asahi India net dips by 90% |
Following last year's heavy floods in the western region, along with rising input costs, float glass maker Asahi India Glass (AIS) has reported a steep drop in net profit of 89.89 per cent to Rs 2.47 crore during the third quarter of the current financial year, against Rs 24.44 crore profit reported for the same period last year. |
Gross income too fell by 14.68 per cent during the period to Rs 150.21 crore, against Rs 176.06 crore reported for the third quarter of the previous year. |
Total sales during the first nine months of this year increased by 2.07 per cent to Rs 518 crore, while net profit during the period declined by 66.14 per cent to Rs 19.38 crore. |
Eastern Silk net rises 41% |
Eastern Silk Industries reported 41 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 10.92 crore during the third quarter ended December 2005 of the current financial year as compared with Rs 7.72 crore in the corresponding period last year. |
Net sales during the quarter stood at Rs 118.87 crore, 30 per cent higher than the Rs 91.20 crore recorded in the year-ago period. |
