Apollo Hospitals Q2 net up 5% at Rs 87 crore

During the second quarter this vertical contributed Rs 636.52 crore as compared to Rs 558.86 crore, a year ago

Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited (AHEL) has reported a net profit of Rs 87 crore during the quarter ended September 30, 2013 as compared to Rs 83.24 crore, a year ago. The country's leading hospital chain reported a total income of Rs 975.07 crore as compared to Rs 836.32 crore, an increase of around 17%.

Healthcare services continues to be the major contributor of the total sales. During the second quarter this vertical contributed Rs 636.52 crore as compared to Rs 558.86 crore, a year ago. Pharmacy business contributed Rs 338.64 crore as compared to RS 277.63 crore, the balance came from other businesses.
