Apollo Hospitals Q4 net up 41%

Apollo Hospitals has posted a 41% rise in net profit at Rs 12.4 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005 as compared to Rs 8.8 crore for the corresponding quater last fiscal.

According to a release issued to the BSE today, total income has increased from Rs 133.1 crore in Q4-04 to Rs 156.8 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005.

The company has also posted a net profit of Rs 49.2 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 as compared to Rs 37.1 crore for the year ended March 31, 2004. Total Income has increased from Rs 499.8 crore in FY-04 to Rs 595.6 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005.

As per the consolidated results, Appolo Hospitals has reported a net profit of Rs 38.4 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 as compared to Rs 28.2 crore last year. Total income for the fiscal has increased from Rs 542 crore in FY-04 to Rs 662.1 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005.

The board of directors of the company has recommended a dividend of Rs 4 per share.
