Apollo Gleneagles is planning to open five more chest pain clinics in the next six months.

"We already have five such clinics, which we intend to expand to ten in the coming six months," said V R Ramanan, director, medical services, Apollo Gleneagles Hospitals in Kolkata while launching the 5th clinic in association with North Kolkata-based nursing home Eskag Sanjivani.

This is the third clinic outside the Apollo group in Kolkata after the hospital signed deals with Behala Apex Hospital and Alipore Hospital.

"Like all earlier clinics, the new one, too, will provide emergency treatment to patients with complaints of chest pain, which, in most cases, is the principal sign of heart attack," Ramanan said.
