Apollo, Ramsay Sime Darby to offer diabetic care in Malaysia

Country with 3.2 mn diabetics has one of the highest diabetes prevalence rates among adults worldwide

Apollo Health & Lifestyle Limited, wholly-owned subsidiary of Apollo Hospital Enterprise Limited, and Ramsay Sime Darby Healthcare on Monday announced a collaboration to offer diabetes care in Malaysia.

Malaysia with 3.2 million diabetics has one of the highest diabetes prevalence rates among adults worldwide. Estimates indicate 1 in 6 adults in the country has diabetes.

The strategic intent is to start these services at Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care-owned hospitals, and expand across neighbourhood clinics.

The partnership also aim to work closely with local communities to improve screening, early detection, awareness and management of diabetes, a release stated.
