Apollo ties up with Cytori Therapeutics

Healthcare provider Apollo Hospitals has entered into an agreement with Cytori Therapeutics, which is into regenerative medicine technologies, to introduce the latter’s Celution system for personalised cell therapy at Apollo Centres of Cosmetic Surgery.

Cytori and Apollo have collaborated in Hyderabad and Delhi with plans for additional locations throughout India this year, Prathap C Reddy, chairman of Apollo Hospitals, said.

“The alliance with Cytori will revolutionise the delivery of personalised cell therapy in India,” he said.

Apollo Hospitals is planning to set up a medical college in the Apollo Health City premises here with an investment of Rs 50-100 crore. “The medical college, with an intake of 100-200 students, will start next year, “ Hari Prasad, chief executive officer of Apollo Hospitals, said.
