Apollo Tyres FY06 up 43%

Apollo Tyres has posted a net profit of Rs 88.94 crore for FY06 as compared to Rs 61.78 crore for FY05.

According to an official release issued to the BSE today, total income has increased to Rs 2632.05 crore for FY06 from Rs 2251.35 crore in FY05.

Net profit of Rs 26.38 crore for Q4FY06 as compared to Rs 20.28 crore for Q4FY05. Total income in Q4FY06 increased to Rs 746.17 crore from Rs 637.01 crore in Q4FY05.

The board has recommended dividend of Rs 4.50 per share amounting to Rs 17.25 crore for the year.
