Apollo Tyres Q4 net declines 18% to Rs 157 cr

However, total income increased 17.5% to Rs 3,258 cr

Tyremaker Apollo Tyres witnessed an 18% drop in net profit for the quarter ended March 2012 at Rs 157 crore. It was 192 crore in the corresponding period a year ago.

However, total income increased 17.5% to Rs 3,258 crore from Rs 2,771 crore in March 2011.

The company's net profit declined 7% to Rs 4,099 crore in the financial year ended March 2012 as against Rs 4,401 crore in FY11.

The total income, however, was up 36% at Rs 12,186 crore when compared to Rs 8,918 crore in FY11.

Apollo Tyres scrip on BSE was trading 4% low at 81.
