Apollo Tyres Q4 net up 7%

Apollo Tyres has posted a 7% rise in net profit at Rs 20.28 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005 as compared to Rs 18.78 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2004.

According to a release issued to the BSE today, total income (net of excise) increased from Rs 518.71 crore in Q4-04 to Rs 637.01 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005.

As per the audited results for the year ended March 31, 2005, Apollo Tyres has posted a net profit of Rs 67.63 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 as compared to Rs 70.42 crore for the year ended March 31, 2004.

Total income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 1925.26 crore in FY-04 to Rs 2245.3 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005.

According to the consolidated results, the group has posted a net profit of Rs 61.78 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 as compared to Rs 71.87 crore for the year ended March 31, 2004.

Total income (net of excise) increased from Rs 1926.8 crore in FY-04 to Rs 2251.35 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005.

The board of directors of Apollo Tyres has recommended dividend of Rs 4.50 per share amounting to Rs 17.25 crore for the year on equity share of Rs 10 each.
