Areva T&D today said it has signed an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) agreement with Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Co (MSETCL) to set up sub-stations in Maharashtra state. The value of the agreement is around Rs 900 crore.
The agreement involves setting up of 36 sub-stations, with a capacity of 220 KV and 132 KV, over period of three years. Areva has already booked orders of the first 18 sub-stations.
The company will help MSETCL to upgrade and expand the transmission and distribution network of the state, it said. Areva will deliver the project in consortium with Jyoti Structures Ltd.
