Arun Sarin, chief executive officer of UK-based wireless-phone service provider Vodafone Group Plc is likely to announce his resignation today, reported London based newspaper Daily Telegraph citing unidentified people close to the company.

Arun Sarin's deputy Vittorio Colao is likely to replace Sarin, reported the news paper. India -born Sarin played a critical role in acquiring two third stake of India's Hutchison Essar last year. </P>
