Paris-based telecom provider Alcatel-Lucent today said it has appointed BT India's Arun Seth as Chairman for its India operations.
Seth will, however, continue to be the Non-Executive Chairman of BT India, with whom he has been associated since 1995, a statement issued by Alcatel-Lucent said here.
"Arun brings us over 30 years of diverse business experience. I look forward for his guidance in helping Alcatel-Lucent be a transformative player in the converging IT and telecom industry in India," Alcatel-Lucent President, Asia Pacific Region, Rajeev Singh-Molares said in the statement.
Seth will work closely with the Alcatel-Lucent President on strategies for the overall Asia-Pacific region and India.
He would also advise Alcatel-Lucent India President and Managing Director Munish Seth on how to steward the India region for consistent value creation, the release added.
"It is an honour to join Alcatel-Lucent's India leadership team and have the opportunity to build on and contribute further to its success," Seth said on his appointment.
Seth is also on the Executive Committee of NASSCOM and a Member of the Advisory Board at TERI.
