Ashok Leyland today posted a net profit of Rs 327.32 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006 as against Rs 271.41 crore in FY05. According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, total income increased to Rs 5,280.63 crore in FY06 from Rs 4,235.65 crore in FY05. "Profit on sale of undertaking represents profit on sale of the ductron castings unit, Hyderabad, as a going concern to Ennore Foundries, a fellow subsidiary, with effect from April 1, 2005. The figures for the previous year include operations of the unit, and hence are not comparable," the release added. The company posted a net profit of Rs 133.46 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 as against Rs 142.76 crore in Q4FY05. Total income moved up to Rs 1,745.83 crore in Q4FY06 from Rs 1,492.68 crore in Q4FY05. The board has recommended a dividend of 120%, the release added. |
