Ashok Leyland June'05 sales up 35.7%

Ashok Leyland, Chennai-based vehicle manufacturer, has registered a 35.7% rise in its sales for the month of June 2005 at 5,243 units as
compared to 3,863 units in june 2004.

Total vehicle production during the reporting month increased by 40.7% to 5,438 units as compared to 3,865 units in the same period last fiscal, the company said in a release today.

MDV domestic goods and passenger segment sales for June were up 54.8% and 53.8% respectively while cumulative sales for April-June increased 20% to 13,320 units, the release added.
