Ashok Leyland today reported a 73.37% increase in domestic sales in October 2006 at 6,798 units, as against 3,921 units in October 2005. According to the company's release, vehicle exports for October were up 27% at 457 units compared to 360 units in the corresponding month last year. For the April-October period, the company's sales were up 37% at 40,858 units compared to 29,854 units to OCtober last year, the release said. Vehicle exports in the April-October period grew by 25% at 3,330 units as against 2,642 units in 2005. |
