Ashok Leyland reports 28% hike in October sales

Light commercial vehicle sales grew by 13% to 2,959 units as compared to 2,627 units in October last year, reveals report

Hinduja Group flagship company Ashok Leyland on Tuesday reported a 28% increase in total sales at 12,533 units in October 2016.

The company had sold 9,803 units in the corresponding month last year.

Sales of heavy and medium commercial vehicles rose by 33% to 9,574 units last month as against 7,176 units in the year-ago period, the company said in a statement.

Light commercial vehicle sales grew by 13% to 2,959 units as compared to 2,627 units in October last year, it added.
