Ashok Leyland Sept sales up 27%

Ashok Leyland today reported a 27.2% growth in total vehicle sales in September 2005.

"Total vehicle sales were at 5,875 units in September as against 4,617 units in September 2004," an official release said today.

While domestic sales were up 26.6% at 5,284 units as against 4,173 units, exports moved up 33.1% to 591 units from 444 units in September 2004, the release added.

Cumulative sales between April-September was up 19.6% at 28,215 units in Septemner, the release said.
