Hospitality firm Asian Hotels (East) Ltd, that operates hotel Hyatt Regency in Kolkata today posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 31.12 crore for the year ended March 31, 2011.
The company's net profit for the nine months period concluded March 31, 2010 was Rs 14.74 crore, it said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Its consolidated net sales for the twelve months ended March 31, 2011 stood at Rs 82.52 crore. The same was Rs 41.21 crore for the nine months ended March 31, 2010.
"Figures of financial year 2010-11 are not comparable with the corresponding figures in the previous financial year since figures for 2009-10 contain operations of Hotel Hyatt Regency, Kolkata only for five months (November 2009 to March 2010) due to post demerger of erstwhile Asian Hotels Ltd," the filing said.
The company started its independent operation of the hotel from November 2009 after the scheme of arrangement and demerger has become effective, it added.
The board of directors has recommended a dividend of Rs 4.50 per equity share on 11,401,782 equity shares.
The company's scrips were trading at Rs 301 per share, up 4.17%, compared to the previous close on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
