Asian markets steady, buck weak Wall St trend

The Asian markets were trading with marginal gains after reports that Japan's exports almost doubled in May.

The Nikkei was up marginally (25 points) at 18,237, and the Hang Seng was up 1% (194 points) at 21,879. The Shanghai Index was also up 1% at 4217.
