Asian Paints, Tata Comm & Eicher Q1 results

Asian Paints registers 65% profit
Asian Paints has registered a rise of 65 per cent in its consolidated net profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2009 to Rs 180 crore, compared with Rs 109 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. The revenue for the first quarter also increased by 18 per cent to Rs 1,460 crore, as compared with Rs 1,242 crore earlier.

Tata Comm net slips to Rs 31.94 cr
Tata Communications has posted a lower net profit of Rs 31.94 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2009, a 67.56 per cent fall compared with Rs 98.47 crore recorded during the same quarter a year ago.

 

Eicher sees 275% rise in net
The fourth-largest commercial vehicle manufacturer in the country, Eicher Motors Limited, reported on Saturday a 275.52 per cent rise in its net profit for the second quarter ending June 2009 to Rs 19.79 crore, against the Rs 5.27 crore earned for in the similar period last year. Net sales for the April-June quarter increased by 11.45 per cent to Rs 617.48 crore.
