Asian Paints Ltd today informed BSE that the operations at the Company's paint Plant situated at Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, have returned to normalcy. On April 29, 2015, the company had informed of the operations at the Company's paint plant was affected due to the cessation of work by the operators belonging to Asian Paints Employees' Union w.e.f. April 28, 2015.
Company officials and union officials were not available for comment immediately.
The workers went on strike demanding reinstatement of the dismissed workers, payment of bonus/ex-gratia which they claim is pending for nearly two years. The Union also demanded for immediately dialogue on wage revision and action against company's official who claimed to be assaulted an employee.
