Employability solutions company Aspiring Minds and edX, a not-for-profit online learning initiative, have come together to improve employability among the Indian workforce through online education.
The collaboration would enable more than one million people enrolled with Aspiring Minds to receive employability advice through their flagship product AMCAT, a joint release said.
Aspiring Minds conducts AMCAT -- an employability test for students to evaluate their employability skills.

Working with edX, Aspiring Minds would now be able to guide their students towards comprehensive and internationally recognised programmes to help them address skill deficiencies found by AMCAT.
The recommendation engine would enable students to find and access edX courses that address their specific skill gaps.
"The collaboration helps complete the employability circle - from need-gap assessment to addressing and fixing skill deficiencies to finally finding the perfect employer-employee match," edX president Anant Agarwal said.

Aspiring Minds' users who complete edX courses would be awarded edX course certificates and these credentials would be integrated with their AMCAT user profile, giving them an additional edge in the employment search process.
