Assam Company announced a net profit of Rs 24.65 crore during the third quarter of 2008-09, an increase of 92 per cent as compared to Rs 12.84 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.
Net income for the quarter increased 37 per cent at Rs 71.63 crore from Rs 52.11 crore in the same corresponding period last fiscal.
The company has interests in tea plantations, infrastructure, and oil and gas.
