Astra Micro bags Rs 11-crore order

 The order is for the supply of microwave sub-systems for surveillance radars, the company said in a release.

 Astra Microwave has designed and developed these sub-systems indigenously. The company had recently set up a MMIC (Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits) design & assembly facilty with an investment of about Rs 10 crore at the Electronic Hardare Park on the outskirts of the city to cater to the space applications.

 Astra Microwave has been focussing on the design and development of microwave components and sub-systems for telecom, defence and space applications.

 For the half-year ended September, it recorded a net profit of Rs 80 lakh on a sales of Rs 10 crore. On an equity base of Rs 5.31 crore, it works out to an annualised earnings per share of Rs 3.
