Astra Microwave Products, a Hyderabad-based company engaged in the manufacture of microwave components and sub-systems for wireless communications, has received an order for Rs 25.5 crore from the Indian Meteorological Department for supply, installation and commissioning of remote-unmanned automatic weather stations in 550 locations in India.
The weather stations will feed live data via satellite to the meteorological department’s central servers on a 24X7 basis. The order has to be completed in the next one year, the company informed the BSE on Tuesday.
