Standing at number five position in the world, the company inaugurated new production facilities in three major locations across India in the last three years.
To provide professional support to the Indian industry, Atlas Copco has manufacturing facilities for compressors in Pune and for construction and mining equipment in Nashik. Earlier this week the company inaugurated a new factory for drill bits in Hyderabad, which will serve the world market.
“The Indian market has shown remarkable development since the time when Atlas Copco opened its first office in the country, five decades ago. Our growing presence in the country shows our ambition to continue offering sustainable productivity also in the time to come. Our Indian operations contribute significantly to Atlas Copco’s global footprint in not just manufacturing but also in R&D, sourcing and marketing,” Ronnie Leten, president and CEO, Atlas Copco Group said.
The company sites as one of its many achievements its initiative of providing clean drinking water to approximately one million people in various countries.
