Atul net up at Rs 6 cr

Gujarat-based Atul, a Lalabhai group enterprise, has registered significant rise in its net profit to Rs 6 crore during the first quarter of the current fiscal to Rs 8 lakh during the corresponding quarter of previous financial year 2004-05.

Similarly, net sales has gone up to Rs 179.83 crore during the first quarter of current fiscal compared with Rs 148.39 crore during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal. Profit before tax stood at Rs 5.32 crore during the first quarter of fiscal 2005-06 compared with Rs 0.44 crore during the first quarter of 2004-05.

Apollo Hospitals net up 34%

Apollo Hospitals reported a net profit of Rs 14.06 crore in the first quarter of 2005-06, higher by 33.65 per cent compared with Rs 10.52 crore seen in the first quarter of the previous year.

Income in the first quarter stood at Rs 157.42 crore, a rise of 16.78 per cent over the earlier year's Rs 134.79 crore.

BOC India PAT doubles

BOC India has registered a profit before tax at Rs 17.04 crore in the first quarter, which is more than double of the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Net sales at Rs 102 crore for the quarter grew at 32 per cent over the corresponding period of the previous fuelled mainly by project engineering business. The interest cost at Rs 69 lakh for the quarter was lower than Rs 1.3 crore for the same period of the previous year.
