Atul Auto to spread presence to 5 more states

Three-wheeler manufacturing company Atul Auto Limited is planning to enter another five states of India. At present the company has presence in 10 states across the country.

"We are planning to expand our network in Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, Karnataka and Tamilnadu in the next six months. We will fully concentrate on achieving 10 to 15 per cent market share by the end of the next financial year", said Paul Zachariach, Senior General Manager – Marketing, Atul Auto, adding "To expand network in these five states, Atul will invest about Rs.1 crore mainly on brand promotion."

Atul Gem - a rear engine three wheeler with world class state of art technology which was launched last year in June has became growth engine model for the company. Atul Auto is targeting sales of 13,000 vehicles by the end of March 2010. JJ Chandra, CMD of Atul auto said, "The company has invested Rs. 30 crore in technology, plant and machinery in addition to the existing facility. The new facility of manufacturing such as BIW for fabrication of chassis with cabin has been installed for Atul GEM."

 

Atul Auto is among the five top three-wheeler manufacturing company in the country having its manufacturing facility at Rajkot in with a total installed capacity of 30,000 vehicles annually. Atul produces diesel as well as CNG operated three-wheeled micro commercial vehicles.
