Luxury car maker Audi India today reported an over two-fold jump in its sales for May, 2011, at 408 units.
The company had sold 200 units in the corresponding month last year, Audi India said in a statement.
Also, during the January-May period this year, the company's sales increased by over two-fold to 2,394 units from 1,167 units in the year-ago period, it added.
"This strong growth rate, even in times of rising fuel prices and interest rates, demonstrates the strong brand and product pull.
I am confident that with the support of our dealer partners and our loyal customer base, 2011 will be a defining year for Audi in India," Audi India Head Michael Perschke said.
