Audi India sells 884 units in Jan-Oct

Audi, the German luxury car manufacturer, today announced the sales figures of last ten months of the current calendar year.

In January to October 2008, Audi India increased its sales by 203 per cent. It sold 884 cars as compared to 292 in the corresponding period last year.

In October 2008, sales grew by 312 per cent as compare to same month last year.

Audi sold more cars, thanks to the introduction of new models with the 'Vorsprung durch Technik' and the expansion of dealerships helped the brand grew, according to a company statement.

The most successful models in October were the newly launched Audi A4 and the Audi Q7.

 

At present, the company sells Audi A4, Audi A6, Audi A8, Audi Q7 and Audi TT through twelve dealerships across the country in Delhi, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Ludhiana, Chennai, Kochi, and Kolkata.

The company is also planning to launch its award-winning super sports car in India--the Audi R8 this week. The model is already sold out for 2008 before the official launch.
