As part of expansion of its dealership network, the German luxury car manufacturer—Audi is planning to open 3 new dealerships at Lucknow, Coimbatore and Nagpur in the country, shortly.
“Presently, the company has 13 dealerships across the country and is planning to add three more, shortly. These three new dealerships will be opened in Lucknow, Coimbatore and Nagpur, shortly”, sources told Business Standard.
The company’s present 13 showrooms are located in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkatta, Ludhiana, Mumbai and Pune.
The Audi model range in India includes the Audi A4, the Audi A6, the Audi A8, the Audi Q5, the Audi Q7, the Audi TT and the super sports car Audi R8. The company sold out 1,658 units in the country during the calendar year 2009. The company has reportedly sold out 1,400 units by June end in the current calendar year 2010. Presently, the company’s market share in India is 20 per cent.
