Autocop mulls Rs 40cr facility upgradation

The company, which enjoys an 85 per cent share in the domestic car security systems, owns exclusive rights to distribute 23 foreign facility security solutions brands in the country.

"We will be obtaining technology from the foreign companies that we already have distribution tie ups with to take up manufacturing of facility security products in two years down the line. We will manufacture access control systems and low-end CC TV products to start with, and sell them in India as co-branded products," Ashok Singh, managing director of Autocop facility security solutions division, told mediapersons here on Friday.

 

The need for facility security products is growing in India in a big way.

The domestic security solutions market is currently pegged at Rs 1,152 crore, of which electronic access control systems comprise Rs 376 crore, while video surveillance market constitutes Rs 354 crore.

The company has set a sales target of Rs 30 crore for its facility security division this year, he added.
