Autocop India Private Ltd, the market leader in the car security system in India, opened yesterday "Autocop World", an exclusive showroom, in Chandigarh.

The outlet was inaugurated by Atshushi Omukai, Indian Project head, Pioneer Corporation, Japan. The showroom will be a one-stop shop for all products being marketed, distributed and serviced by Autocop India.

The product range includes the complete range of Autocop car alarm security systems, pioneer car audios, 3M Scotch tint sun control film, and divinity products.

Autocop India Marketing Director Harsh Sharma said, "Autocop World will have technicians and a sales team."

Autocop World is the first of its kind in the country. It is supported by three manufacturing units in Nasik and an after-sales service network at 57 locations across the country.

Sharma told Business Standard the company had a 95 per cent market share in Chandigarh, apart from 86 per cent across India.

According to Sharma, the company is planning to strengthen the retail network by opening 26 such showrooms across the country over the next two years, of which 16 would be opened by the end of this calendar year.

The company has tie-ups with almost all leading car manufacturers in India. Autocop World gives a one-year additional warranty on the products sold at this outlet.
