Automation players set up association

The biggest names in Indian automation joined hands to form Automation Industry Association (AIA) to enable global competitiveness of the industry across sectors.
 
The members of the association include ABB India, Emerson, Siemens, L&T, Tata Honeywell, Rockwell Automation, Yokogowa India and Invensys India.
 
Ravi Uppal, vice chairman and MD of ABB India said, "AIA's primary aim will be to increase knowledge and awareness levels when it comes to cutting edge automation technologies and help the industry leverage these for greater productivity and quality-the key to global competitiveness." Uppal has been named the president of AIA.
