Aventis Pharma today said that its net profit declined by 9.97 per cent to Rs 42.4 crore for the second quarter ended June 30, compared to the same period in the previous fiscal.
Net sales of the company rose to Rs 271.5 crore for the second quarter ended June 30, compared to Rs 249.9 crore in the same period of the corresponding fiscal, Aventis Pharma said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
Besides this, the company's board has recommended an interim dividend of Rs 4 per equity share of Rs 10.
For the six months ended June 30, the company reported a net profit of Rs 78.5 crore, compared to Rs 87.6 crore in the same period of the corresponding fiscal.
Net sales of the company increased to Rs 522.9 crore for the six months ended June 30, compared to Rs 478.8 crore in the same period in the last fiscal.
Shares of Aventis Pharma today closed at Rs 1,973.25 on the BSE, down 1.33 per cent from its previous close.
