Aveva, a supplier of engineering design and information software solutions, is planning to grow headcount at its research and development (R&D) centre in Hyderabad to 300 during FY14-15, said chief technology officer and head (engineering and design systems), Dave Wheeldon.
Launching its second R&D centre here on Tuesday, he said the two facilities were central components of Aveva’s product development strategy and important sources to support customers .
The London Stock Exchange-listed company employs 250 associates in India, including 200 in Hyderabad. Aveva’s India operations represent over 15 per cent of its total headcount of 1, 500 across 30 countries.
It reported revenues of 220 million pound (approximately Rs 2, 200 crore) in the financial year ending March 2013. It has 190 million pound in cash earmarked for acquisitions etc.
