The fourth metropolitan sessions court here on Friday dismissed the bail petition of Satyam Computer Services founder B Ramalinga Raju. The court had heard the arguments on Thursday and reserved the orders for today.
The judge dismissed the bail petition on the grounds that further investigation into the case was in progress by the Central Bureau of Investigation. He noted that Raju was being treated by expert doctors and there was no need for bail on medical grounds. A petition for scientific examinations was pending before a division bench of the High Court, the judge said.
Raju, who is being treated at Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, had sought bail last week on health grounds. He and his aides were arrested in January and have since been housed at Chanchalguda jail.
