Bajaj Auto August vehicle sales jump 11%

Bajaj Auto has reported 11% increase in two and three wheeler sales for the month August 2006.

According to the company release, the company sold 2,08,163 units in August this year compared to 1,86,802 units sold last August.

The motorcyles sales rose by 21% to 1,80,570 units in August 2006 as against 1,49,415 units in August 2005. The company sold 15% more three wheelers at 26,150 units as against 22,782 units.

The exports rose by 36% to 32,283 units from 23,752 units a year ago., the release added.
