Bajaj Auto May bike sales up 27%

Bajaj Auto today reported a 27% rise in motorcycle sales in May at 1,96,120 units as against 1,53,975 units in the same month last year.

The total two-wheeler sales stood at 1,99,426 units, up 23% from 1,62,753 units sold in May last year.

The company said that its three-wheeler sales increased 51% to 24,029 units in the month as compared to 15,892 units in May 2005.

Total May two-wheeler and three-wheeler sales were 2,23,455 units as against 1,78,645 units in May 2005.
