Bajaj Auto has reported a net profit of Rs 290.8 crore in the quarter ended September 30, 2005, a 61 per cent growth compared with Rs 179.9 crore in the corresponding period in the previous year. |
Net income, during the year, grew by 27.25 per cent to Rs 1,866.9 crore from Rs 1,448.2 crore in the comparable previous period. |
Gross profit at the end of the second quarter stood at Rs s 451.8 crore, a 37.8 per cent rise over the previous corresponding period's Rs 327.7 crore. |
Profit before tax went up by 52.05 per cent from Rs 264.9 crore to Rs 402.8 crore. Earnings per share stood at Rs 28.6 at the end of the Sepetmber quarter against the previous corresponding quarter's Rs 17.8. |
Motorcycle sales, during the quarter, went up 32 per cent to 4,45,557 from 3,36,425, while two-wheeler sales grew by 28 per cent to 4,87,067 from 3,80,514 units. |
