The discussion between Bajaj Auto Ltd and VKKS at labour commissioner's office failed again due to strong agitaion outside commissioner's office.

The strike follows a decision of 1500 workers of Bajaj workers at its Chakan plant to put down tools beginning June 25, demanding shares at concessional rates and reinstatement of their suspended colleagues along with additional perks from the company. Inspite of a strong police presence, Bajaj management members avoided the venue of the meeting.

Kailash Zanzari, VP, Manufacturing, Bajaj Auto said, "Yes, the meeting with the Labour Commissioner was scheduled for today at 2 pm at his office.
